Laura asks…What are my chances of being the sole winner of the UK lottery?I know it is about 14 million to 1 against my ticket winning, but what is it against being the only winner.Jack Roth answers:The number of tickets matching the winning numbers is given by the poisson probability, where there are N tickets sold

λ = N / (13 983 816)

P(no of winners (n)) = λ^n e^(-λ) / n!

Assuming 60 million ticket sales

P(1 winner) = λe^(-λ) = 0.0587637326

so if you win and 60 million tickets
